Who I am in one sentence

I’m Tahir Shahzad, an SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and technical consultant in Berlin with a background
in IT (Information Technology) and Requirements Engineering. I help service businesses and B2B companies turn slow,
confusing websites into clear, search-friendly experiences that actually support their business goals.

From Rawalpindi to Berlin

I grew up in a middle-class family in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, in the 1990s. There was no conversation about attention,
focus or ADHD back then – only comments like “why can’t he sit still?” and “he is brilliant when he is interested”.
I was the kid who could focus intensely on technology, computers and ideas I cared about, and completely lose focus
on everything that felt unclear or meaningless.

That curiosity took me to university to study Information Technology, and later to Germany, where I
completed a master’s in Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship & Sustainability at TU Berlin and
started working in German tech companies.

ADHD – finally with a name

Much later, I learned that what I had been experiencing my whole life had a name: ADHD. Suddenly, the pattern made sense:
hyper-focus on interesting problems, high energy for new ideas, and real struggle with vague, boring or unstructured tasks.

Instead of treating ADHD as a defect, I decided to treat it as data. It helped me understand why I naturally
gravitate towards:

  • Breaking down complex, chaotic information into simple structures
  • Spotting patterns, inconsistencies and edge cases in systems and content
  • Asking “why” a lot – sometimes to the annoyance of corporate environments

Today, this is exactly what my clients benefit from in SEO and website projects.

How my background helps clients today

I have worked as a software developer, as a Requirements Engineer in safety-critical environments, and in product-related roles.
That means I understand how digital products are actually built and maintained – not just how they are marketed.

In practical terms, this means I can:

  • Translate between business, marketing and development teams
  • Ask the right questions before we touch any code or content
  • Turn data from tools (Search Console, analytics, audits) into clear next steps

I work comfortably in English and German, and I understand both South Asian and European working cultures, which
often helps when international teams are involved.

What I do now

These days I focus on technical SEO, site performance and website structure for service businesses
and B2B companies. In simple words: I help you understand what is going on with your website and what to do about it.

Typical ways I work with clients:

  • SEO health checks to quickly see where things stand
  • Deep technical audits for more complex or long-running sites
  • Ongoing consulting to support internal teams or agencies

I prefer honest conversations, realistic promises and clear scopes over big buzzwords or over-selling. If I am not
the right fit, I will say so early.

Outside of work

Outside of client work, I enjoy exploring Berlin, playing with new tools and ideas, and sharing my experiences as a
Pakistani expat with ADHD navigating life and work in Germany. From time to time I create content about these topics,
especially for the South Asian community that might recognise themselves in parts of my story.

If any of this resonates with you – whether as a potential client, collaborator or just another human trying to figure
things out – feel free to reach out.
